Lake Nacimiento Fish Report for 12-15-2023
The lake fell to 55 percent of capacity, and anglers reported another decent week of fishing
Lake Nacimiento - Bradley, CA (San Luis Obispo County)
by Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake fell to 55 percent of capacity, and anglers reported another decent week of fishing. Drop shot, darter head grubs, and Keitech swimbaits worked for bites in 15 to 30 feet of water. Senkos were another good option. Green Pumpkin, The Peoples Worm, and Aaron’s Magic did of the most work, but anglers reported fooling spotted bass with baitfish colors as well. Vertical spoons took bass holding as deep as 50 feet. White bass anglers trolled white swimbaits and spoons for decent results. The white bass held near bait balls, and spoons or in-line spinners fooled the greedy fish. Catfish fell for dip baits, chicken liver, and cut mackerel, and crappie ate small live minnows 15 to 30 feet deep.
