The trout bite picked up at Buena Vista with another load of fish getting dumped into the lake. Rainbows took Powerbait minijigs, Hook Up Baits, Get Bent Baits and Powerbait. Other favorites included Giro lures, Mice Tails, and live worms. Garlic scent has been helpful. Trollers did well with Wedding Rings, Flicker Shad, and spoons. Largemouth took deep diving shad patterned crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and Senko style baits. Catfish anglers used dip baits, fresh shrimp, and chicken liver for decent numbers of smaller fish. Crappie fell for small live minnows under a slip bobber, small swimbaits, and minijigs. Limit style crappie fishing is definitely an option.
