Due to continuous storms the lake rose to 28 percent of capacity, and there were only a handful of reports. Bass anglers reported fish in 20 to 40 feet of water falling for drop shot 4” curly tail worms in Ox Blood and Aaron’s Magic. A few spoon fish were also reported. Crappie have been the best bet for anglers using small live minnows and swimbaits near Horse Creek. Trout anglers reported decent fishing, but few anglers braved the weather. Dough bait, minijigs, and Kastmasters hooked plenty of the planted Rainbows.
