Pyramid lake held at 90 percent of capacity with water temperatures in the upper fifties. Large and smallmouth have been tight lipped with most anglers reporting catching a few bass. They have been holding in 20 to 40 feet of water with some fish even deeper. Dark purple and brown straight tail worms on C-rigs, drop shot, and shaky heads have been effective on the slow drag. Some better quality fish were reported by anglers throwing deep diving crankbaits in crawdad and shad patterns. Striper took cut baits, chicken liver, and lugworms in the marina, Yellowbar, and near the dam. There were reports of limits on smaller striper while trolling umbrella rigs and flies. Catfish readily ate just about any smelly bait on the long soak, and trout fell for minijigs, Powerbait, and live worms.
