Sacramento River - CA

Striped bass are moving up in larger numbers for Sacramento River anglers, according to local guide Kevin Brock. "We are getting limits of stripers every day', reported Brock. "Most are legal size with only a few shakers, and our largest this week was 12 pounds. We are catching our fish between Ward's Landing and Tisdale, but there are stripers spread out as high upstream as Princeton. Best bet for legal fish is trolling with jumbo minnows; lots of smaller fish are what is biting on cut baits."
Brock added, "The river looks very good, we should have an excellent striper spawn this year. We also fished a short while for sturgeon, but did not get any."
