Today we left the dock aboard the Pacific Dream with high expectations and a great opportunity to put up some big salmon numbers. Unfortunately, the fish had other plans. Like much of the fleet, we just couldn’t find the action we saw the day before, and we wrapped up the day with 8 salmon for our full load of 24 anglers.

The fishing may have been tough, but the weather couldn’t have been better. We had an outstanding group on board today, from seasoned anglers to first-time fishermen, and everyone kept a great attitude despite the slow bite. Our crew worked hard from start to finish, and Stephanie absolutely threw down in the galley, keeping everyone well-fed and happy throughout the day.

We’ll be taking a short break from salmon until the next opener. Tomorrow it’s back to chasing rockfish and lingcod, so stay tuned for more fishing reports!
