Happy Hooker Sport Fishing – F/V Pacific Dream

Today we ventured out to the main ship channel in search of king salmon. We had plenty of action right from the start, but unfortunately we had a tough time keeping them buttoned up. I’d guess our landing ratio was only about 40% today—that’s right, for every 10 hookups, we may have landed only 4 fish!

Even with the missed opportunities, the action stayed steady throughout the day with a few nice flurries of quality king salmon. By the end of the trip, our 21 anglers landed 25 hefty king salmon.

A big shout-out to Stephanie in the galley for keeping everyone well fed. She had hot breakfast sandwiches and fresh coffee ready in the morning, then followed it up with her delicious cheeseburgers for lunch, along with plenty of snacks, sodas, and candy bars to keep everyone fueled throughout the day.
