Success Lake dropped significantly to 60 percent of its storage capacity, and anglers experienced tougher fishing conditions than in previous weeks. Largemouth bass moved toward underwater rock piles and heavy woody cover as water levels declined, with green pumpkin Senkos and hula grubs producing the best results. Anglers willing to work crankbaits around rocky structure also caught bass. Crappie held in 10 to 15 feet of water, where small live minnows proved to be the most effective bait.
