Lake Kaweah continued to rise, and fishing continued to improve. Spotted bass went after Senko-style baits, drop-shot rigs, hula grubs, and small swimbaits. One local contact reported doing well while fishing in 15 to 30 feet of water with brown and red flake hula grubs, using a slow retrieve while feeling every rock and obstacle. Main lake points and secondary points remained productive. Crappie anglers found success near Horse Creek, where small live minnows produced decent results, and catfish anglers pulled in fair numbers of smaller fish using cut anchovies, dip bait, and chicken liver.
