This week’s storms pushed the Naci well above 60 percent of its storage capacity. Spotted bass held in 10 to 50 feet of water, and bass anglers reported fair to decent fishing. Blade baits, tailspins, and spoons fooled fish holding deeper in the water column. Those same baits also took plenty of white bass. Drop shot, Senkos, Keitechs on the underspin, and darter head grubs took bass as well. Catfish ate cut baits and dip bait, but there were few reports from the whisker fish crowd. Crappie anglers looked for fish over submerged structure with the pan fish falling for minijigs and small live minnows.
