New Melones Reservoir - Angels Camp, CA

Crappie were back on top, with fish over 2 pounds caught and some anglers scoring limits in the Bear Cove area. Mini-jigs worked best. Bass are moving up, and there are already bed fish, but the majority are still pre-spawn. Trout trollers found browns up to 4 pounds recently, but rainbows are more likely for those pulling spoons, Apexes and shad. Shore fishing is still fair, but slower than it has been for Power Bait soakers
