Klamath River salmon and steelhead guides salmon and steelhead Fishing Report

Hard fighting king salmon and a mix of both half pound and adult steelhead are starting to make their way into the Klamath River as reported by Klamath River salmon and steelhead guides. Trolling around the estuary has produced some great king salmon to 22 pounds while trolling gold or copper Kastmasters lures or anchovies. Salmon and steelhead have also been hooked upriver from Klamath Glen while side drifting roe and a Quickie puffball. Klamath River salmon and steelhead guides are reporting many half pound steelhead being in making for non stop action with several adult steelhead and even some big kings mixed in making for a exciting trip. Brice Linder of Vina, Ca. put on two king salmon to 22 pounds and three adult steelhead to 9 pounds while fishing with Dave Jacobs of Professional Guide Service in mid August. Anglers can expect more salmon and steelhead to enter the Klamath in late August and September.

Dave Jacobs Professional guide service will be available for king salmon and steelhead jet boat trips on the Klamath River August through October and salmon and steelhead drift boat trips on the Trinity River October through November 2009.
