Baum trout biting

Baum Lake - Cassel, CA (Shasta County)

by Nor Cal Fish Reports
7-28-2015

Baum Lake is fishing good as always. Expect good fishing here through the summer months. Best chance at catching rainbows on dry flies is in the mornings, before the sun is high. The surface action dies off after 10:00 AM. And that's "IF" there's any top water action. Dry fly fishing happens daily, but that doesn't mean fish are on the same program. Some days offer better dry fly fishing than others. Callibaetis come off daily. The Fly Shop (530) 222-3555
