Rj Schulze posted these shots on Facebook on 4/28 and reported in the Gold Country Fishing Report, “Camanche has been on fire! Lots of fish in lots of different stages. Shallow fish on beds, post spawn fish on off-shore cover, right now is a great time to get those kids out there and introduce them to Bass fishing!! just remember catch and release is super important especially right now during the spawn. Caught on a ton of different presentations. Throwing reaction (jerkbaits, spinners, cranks) when there’s wind, senkos and shakey heads when its flat seem to be working. Always have a glide bait tied on for hitting those island tops and points. Happy fishing ! ”

Dave Jans of West Sacramento was out to the lake last Friday. He messaged that he was going after bass “using soft plastics with a slow presentation, near shallow water. He also said the water temps were between 71° and 74° catching both spots and Florida largemouth.”

Brent Tracy Fished yesterday after the plant and landed a couple. Fished today and landed 5. The Rainbows were also hitting today. Landed 3 of those. I do CNR and fish there 3 to 4 times a week. Today they hit on Yellow and White Power Eggs for me. They are out in deeper water.
