Lake Camanche - Wallace, CA

The lake is 64% full and the water temperature is 59 degrees. Trout are in the top 15 feet of water whether fishing from the bank or by boat.  Power Bait in rainbow or chartreuse are most commonly used, as well as lures and nightcrawlers.
Planter fish tend to stay near the shorelines while holdover fish are in the main part of the lake. Big fish of the week was caught by Jess Mattson of El Dorado Hills who caught a 9 pound trout in Houseboat Cove with a broken back Rapala. (209) 763-5915, (209) 763-5166
