Hi Folks,
Well I was hoping I could give some very good news by now. I've been out on the water every day and the fishing is less than exciting. For the last week I've averaged anywhere from 1 to 3 fish a day. It's been a mixed bag of steelhead and salmon. About half and half. There has been a couple little squirts of fish passing through the lower river. A few days ago the fishing at the mouth was pretty good for the guys down there. I heard it was shoulder to shoulder for about 60 people. Not my style of fishing.

So weather it's the warm water , the gill nets at the mouth , heavy fishing pressure at the mouth , the salmon have not shown in the number we have been spoiled with in years past.

I'm sure there are a bunch of fish in the ocean waiting to move up river. It's just going to be when. It will happen over night and then we'll be back to what we all come to the Klamath for.

That's all for now.

We have been enjoying some world class fishing here. Every day I've netted at least one...... Read More
