WHAT HAPPENED? The bite has been so bad on Donner Lake that we have not been out with clients there in 3 weeks. You can get into the Kokanee but 9 out of 10 will be 9-10 inch fish. The Macks can be caught by trolling on the bottom. The boat traffic is bad so get out early. Pink and green is the color for the Kokanee. Small lures like all sliver needlefish for the Mackinaws. Please let the Big Macks GO (fish over 10 pounds). If we don't your KIDS wont have the chance that you have to catch one of these big fish that have been in the lake for 40 years.
