Trout action at Del Valle Lake is "rock'n"

The marina hours are 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM and park hours are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The water temperature is now down to 60 degrees. The largest trout reported this week was 6.2 lbs.caught by Clarence Buckner and shown in the main photo. The last trout plant was 4,000 lbs. on November 3rd from Fish and Game. The trout season has officially begun, as fishermen are now reporting catching large numbers of them. Anywhere from 1 to 5 fish are being caught at a time.

Small and largemouth bass are being caught along with catfish and striped bass even as the temperature drops and the lake begins to turn over. Three striped bass were caught this week, the largest weighing in at 10.5 lbs.

The Marina hours as of November 1st will change to 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM and the park hours to 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The store and the park are now closing two hours earlier.
