The lake level remained low at approximately 10% of its storage capacity, while bass fishing was good. Anglers caught quality largemouth bass around submerged trees, main lake points, and the dam in 10 to 25 feet of water. Drop-shot rigs, creature baits, and spider jigs in green pumpkin, brown, and purple patterns all produced fish, while A-rigs also proved effective. Some of the larger bass were caught on 8- and 10-inch worms and crankbaits fished near submerged trees. Some anglers reported success with the brass and glass technique. Crappie reports were limited, but anglers found good-quality fish near submerged vegetation, with small live minnows and mini jigs producing the best results. Catfish action was good, with dip bait, cut sardines, and chicken liver accounting for catches. The CDFW have a scheduled trout stocking here next week, first one of the season.
