A lake-record rainbow trout - 22 pounds, 6 ounces - last week was caught by Eric Evans, who was trolling a Rapala near the dam. It was the second 22-pound trout caught in the East Bay last week. Overall, trout fishing is good. Bait anglers do well near Coots Landing and Raccoon Point. Bass fishing is improving near the island, Bass Cove and Raccoon Point. Plastics and swimbaits work well.
