Success rose to 60 percent of capacity, and bass fishing remained good. Plenty of quality fish were reported by anglers throwing creature baits and Senkos near submerged vegetation. Finesse anglers also found solid numbers while using drop-shot rigs, small jigs, and Carolina rigs in brown and green patterns. The crappie bite was decent for anglers willing to spend time locating schools. Once found, panfish went for small live minnows and minijigs. Catfish anglers did well with cut anchovies, fresh shrimp, and dip bait in areas where the flats dropped into deeper water.

Lake Success: Newly submerged trees and bushes created excellent ambush points for bass
River Walk Lakes: As water temperatures continue to rise, bass are beginning to push into shallower water
Ming Lake: Bass are moving onto beds, and anglers are reporting excellent fishing
Buena Vista Lakes: Anglers were still picking off the remaining planted trout at BV
Hart Park Lake: The bass bite came alive with the warmer weather
