The lake rose to 33 percent of its storage capacity, and water temperatures remained cooler than lower elevation lakes. Spotted bass held from 5 to 30 feet deep, with better bites still coming from deeper water. Darter head jigs with hula grubs in green pumpkin red flake worked well. Drop shot rigs with watermelon black flake, Aaron’s magic, and oxblood plastic worms also produced. The Senko bite began to show signs of improvement. Crappie went for mini jigs near submerged brush and trees. Catfish ate cut baits, nightcrawlers, and dip bait.
