Success Lake rose to 52 percent of its storage capacity, and savvy local anglers used the rising water to target large female bass. Submerged vegetation and rocky structure produced fish up to eight pounds. Jigs, creature baits, and Senkos accounted for most of the better-grade bass, and a few crankbait fish were also reported. Crappie fishing improved again last week with anglers finding plenty of fish around submerged trees. Catfish anglers reported an improved bite while using SSS dip bait.
