We finally gave the outside a look-see after a couple weeks of high winds and big seas; through the day the wind died off and the slop gradually became more friendly to the body however the fish felt different. We had a very long day covering a lot of ground for very little fish to fill the bags. For our Hi’s Tackle Box charter with 15 anglers, we ended the day with 43 rockfish and 30 lingcod. By the end of the day signs were looking better with rockfish starting to fan out on the fish finder. It’s looking like a break in the weather for this coming week and hopefully by mid morning tomorrow we’ll be able to go wherever we choose to fish so crossing my fingers the fish are ready to feed after being beaten up for the past couple weeks of horrible weather.
