Donner Lake is still a good bet for shore anglers. Shore anglers are having success for rainbows on the west end near the boat ramp. Shore anglers should fish powerbait or salmon eggs with a slip sinker rig for best results. Anglers fishing for Kokanee should focus in China cove and fish around the 50 foot water column. And the mackinaw bite at Donner Lake is popular in front of the boat ramp around 100 feet.

Donner Lake is currently at 94% capacity.
