Bass fishing has been slow

Lake Success remained at 11 percent of capacity, and bass fishing has been slow. Most of the bass have been holding in deeper water, and anglers have been using a slow presentation to get bite. Drop shot and jigs worked with a nearly dead stick presentation, and anglers have been getting bite near submerged rocky structure. Crankbaits fooled some better grade bass, and vertical spoons also connected out in the deeper water winter time bass haunts. Catfish anglers reported a decent bite while using cut baits, dip bait, and chicken liver, and the lake was scheduled for a trout plant the week of 11/14.
