Kaweah Lake rose to 14 percent of capacity, and bass anglers reported another solid week of fishing. The bass have been holding in 10 to 25 feet of water near rocky structure. Jigs, drop shot, and Senkos have been working to fool the spotted bass with brown, purple, and bluegill colors working the best. There have been several reports of largemouth attacking deep diving crankbaits first thing in the morning. Catfish went for cut baits, dip bait, and chicken liver near the marina. Anglers reported cats up to 10 pounds last week. There’s a trout plant scheduled for this week.
