The trout bite is still good from the west shore of Donner Lake. Shore anglers are having some success off the boat ramp with powerbait, worms, or small lures. Most rainbow trout are near the middle of the lake or near china cove. Anglers looking for Macks should trying fishing in 70 to 100 feet of water with various lures like kwikfish, large rapalas, and lyman lures. The boat ramp is also still open for the season.

Donner Lake is currently at 64% capacity.
