Donner Lake has been great fishing since it was stocked. Anglers are seeing a good Kokanee and trout bite and should focus between the fishing pier and the boat ramp for best results. Since Donner Lake has been stocked, anglers are catching rainbows in the 12 to 16 inch range with powerbait, worms, and small trout colored lures. For best results, try fishing in the mornings and evenings.
