Bass Bite Has Slowed Down Some

Santa Margarita Lake - CA (San Luis Obispo County)

by Santa Margarita Lake Staff

The bite is slow as the bass have went a bit lethargic adjusting to the water temps. The bass that are being pulled out are very skinny so maybe fish with some real food. Throw them a frozen anchovy or live worm. Mid day seems to be the best catching hours when the sun has warmed the surface of the lake. Catfish are still around if you have the time to wait just sink something stinky to the bottom.
