This week is off to a great start and the trout fishing is simply amazing right now.  Our early fall salmon run has lost steam and most of the hatchery fish are being processed/spawned at Coleman. The Sac River above Anderson is experiencing a really good in river spawn this year with hundreds of salmon spawning right now.  The wild rainbows are gorging themselves on single salmon eggs and fishing roe or beads is the best bet right now.  Double digit hook ups are almost automatic now and will be through December.  We're taking advantage of the break in between the fall and late fall run Kings, but will be headed down river for our big, bright late fall salmon and hatchery steelhead combo trips soon!

Jeff Goodwin is a full time Northern California fishing guide.  He guides year round for salmon, trout, steelhead, Kokanee, and bass on Northern California rivers and lakes. He fishes many bodies of water in the Redding area, but also guides the Sacramento River and Feather River during certain times of the year. Jeff can also be found on the California coast chasing ocean fresh King salmon and steelhead each year. To learn more about the fishing trips Jeff has to offer, please visit Jeff Goodwin's Guide Service.  You can also find him on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, or please feel free to call him anytime at (707) 616-1905.
