Despite the current and southerly wind we managed to pull 9 limits of rockfish for our charter. We started in the shallows but ended up getting located on the reef. Using braided line and 1 lb weights proved to be a must. Lots of people get turned off with deep water fishing, but with braided line (which is what we spool up our rods with now, 50lb izorline), you can definitely feel everything down there, when using a torpedo shaped weight you can even feel it fall over on the bottom. Lots of yellows, blues, and your hardheads like reds and browns sprinkled in. Next trip is Sunday, so far a light load, we need some more bookings, look us up at newcaptainpete.com

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (650) 726-6224 to get in on the action.
