The halibut and striped bass fishing still prevails in the bay off the flats and rock piles drifting live anchovies.  Outside the Gate party boats are still
converging around Seal Rock for limits of halibut where James Smith aboard the California Dawn reported that one of his clients caught the biggest halibut of the season, a 50 pounder.
