Smith River - Smith River, CA (Del Norte County)

The Smith River was at 11.38 Feet and 8,640 CFS as of 3 PM and dropping & clearing.
The Chetco River was at 6.21 Feet and 5,580 CFS as of 3 PM and dropping.
There has been spring like weather the last few days with no rain one would think that the rivers would drop and clear. The nice weather has been great and the rivers a nice color of green but the river height is holding this is from the snow melt up in the mountains. The Smith River steelhead is now a mix of fresh ones and down runners but we have not seen a lot of down runners at this time. There is steelhead derby this next weekend. The Month of March is starting to get bookings so pick a date that you can go fishing and give me a call.

Hi Dave,
Thanks again for a great trip down the Smith.
We had steelhead for dinner and it was wonderful.|
I'm putting together the pictures from the trip.
Do you have sound/speakers on your computer?
I'm making a photo show that has music so wanted to make sure you had sound.
Thanks!
Tammy
