River Reports and Flows
The Smith River was at 7.05 Feet and 1,440 CFS as of 6 PM and dropping & gin clear.

The Chetco River was at 1.83 Feet and 811CFS as of 6 PM and dropping.

The fishing is going good in spite of low water and sunny skies.

I have been fishing both rivers Smith and Chetco.

The Chetco is were we fished today I saw 5 boats we landed 3 steelhead 1 boat landed 5 steelhead and 2 of the 3 boats landed 2 steelhead each.

The reports was that the Smith fished good also today I talk to 1 boat that hooked 7 and landed 5 steelhead and 2 others that landed 2 and 3 steelhead.

I do have some open dates in late February and most of March.

There are fresh fish coming into the rivers everyday.

The river condition in ideal for Fly-fishing.
