River Reports and Flows
The Smith River was at 11.08 Feet and 7,950 CFS as of 8 AM and dropping.
The Chetco River was at 5.80 Feet and 4,940 CFS as of 8 AM and dropping.
The derby this passed weekend was big there were 56 guides making up 28 teams.
I didn't place in this one are other half of the team didn't land a fish.
We did land 3 Steelhead on Friday on the Smith River for a very good showing at the derby because after 2 day and 56 boats only 40 steelhead landed on the Smith River.
The Chetco again out fished the Smith 3 to 1 steelhead landed.
There has been spring like weather the last few days with no rain one would think that the rivers would drop and clear.
The rivers came up a little from snow melt and is holding with nice color.
There is one more steelhead derby this month and it is March 30th, 31.
There is time to go it will last through April.
The Month of March is starting to get bookings so pick a date that you can go fishing and give me a call.
If you are looking to go fishing give us a call.

Hi Dave, It was a cold, rainy, miserable day (real steelheading weather) but you called it right and we scored two nice steelies. My son-in-law's first steelhead trip was a resounding success and he is still pumped up. He says we are definitely coming back in Oct or early Nov for salmon. Only this time my daughter will be along too...she outfishes both of us. Thank you.
