Loch Lomond enjoyed its opening day last week. Fishing for trout was fairly good on Thursday and Friday, but slowed down over the weekend. Fishing from a canoe, angler Bill Coombs managed to catch two rainbow trout up to 16 inches on Sunday. Fishing for bass has been productive at the lake. Ranger Scot Lang says he witnessed a number of anglers bringing in bass in the three to four pound range, and a few have been caught up to eight pounds.
