The Upper-Trinity is clear and in great shape. The upper Trinity faired well over the past week due to the arrival of a fresh run of Steelhead. Even with the cold, the snow and rain the fishing was hot in the upper Junction City area. Steve Huber and Ed Turjillo were out fishing that section of the river Friday and Saturday. Steve launched earlier fished on down to the North Fork but before leaving the Sky Ranch Rd. Launch hole, they hooked and landed two adults. Ed T and Mike Meza launched at the same place a little later and went down to the Junction City campground for a half-day run. Ed and Mike landed another Iron Head in the same hole. They ended their trip with a total of 6 fish to the boat, the largest being 7lbs. Both boats were to go back out today on the same run but as of this time I have not heard from them but the river was still in fair to good shape with a little more color. As for the rest of the Trinity it is blown out from Cedar Flat down through Hoopa.
