King Salmon and Kokanee are showing up in good numbers in Fleming Bay. The 12 to 13 inch Kokanee kept us busy while we waited on the 2 to 4 pound Kings. Uncle Larry's pink spinners with Pro-Cure scent, behind Vance's Dodgers, worked well for the Kok's. The Kings fell for rolling shad with Pro-Cure oil and Vance's sockeye slammers. We found the Kings holding 80 to 90 feet deep, and the Kokanee suspended in the 30 to 40 feet depths.

The past week King Salmon fishing has defiantly improved, despite the full moon. Where seeing good numbers of King's in the 1 to 2 lb class. I found our best action is staying near the river channel, between the dam and Jenkins Hill, 60 to 90 feet deep.Vance's Slim Fin, or Ex-Cel's tipped with a small strip of Anchovy with Pro-Cure jell, has brought good results. One word describes King Salmon fishing at Don Pedro and that is (scattered) We are covering water, from the dam, Fleming Bay, Big Creek, Ramos Creek, Middle Bay, to Hatch Creek, and depths from 60 to 100 feet. Frozen shad, Ex-Cel lures, and Vance's Slim Fin, with Pro-Cure scents, are producing Kings 1 to 2 lbs. However we did catch one 3.5 ponder, and lost another big fish after a long battle.
