Field scouts report some striped bass activity taking place below Decker Island for bait dunkers at anchor with most at or less than 18” minimum size requirement. but, it is possible to take a two fish limit averaging 18 to 22 inches if you put in the time. Some salmon moving through the system with only a few taken to 17 pounds off the shoreline at Benicia, Isleton and near Freeport Bridge. Silvertron spinners and Mepp’s Flying C’s are the two most productive lures as of late. Largemouth bass are numerous throughout the Delta’s back sloughs averaging 1 to 3 pounds, up to an occasional larger fish in the 5 pound bracket.
