I hit the delta this past Friday and Saturday for the first time in over a month. My plan of attack was to toss a frog all day for the next two days. I took everything out of the boat but my frog box and two frog rods. Friday, I got a late start to the day. I was really waiting for the tide to start topping off and catch the swing of the low tide. I couldn’t have hit the tide any better. I started in disappointment slough and worked my way to the main channel and back around too little potatoe/ White Slough. Just about every stop produced a nice fish anywhere from 2 to 4 pounds. I did find a little piece of matted vegetation that produced a nice 7 pound fish. I got off the water by 3:00 and ended up with a nice 19 pound bag for 5.

Day 2

My buddy and I launched out of ladds around 6am. We ran the main channel berm jumping all the way to Middle River. Immediately I land a 9 pound fish, we hop down 20 yards and my buddy sticks a 4, I trade off and stick a 3, we make another small move and he sticks another solid fish. The wind started to pick up around 9:30 we made the decision to head south. We kept berm jumping all the way to Victoria Canal continuously catching solid fish. We found our best bites coming in fast current areas with matted vegetation near them. We got off the water about 2:00 pm end up with 26 pounds for 5.
