Well the water is finally on its big cool down, water temperatures are down to 62 degrees. Mt.Lassen planted 1000 pounds of trout on Monday at the public launch ramp. There was some really nice sized Rainbows in the lot as well. Trout are being caught from shore on Power bait and night crawlers. Fishermen from boats are have more luck drifting mice tails, worms, or small trout lures like Kastmasters, panther martins and fly fishing.

Striped Bass are not boiling anymore as the water is too cold for the shad they feed on. The shad have dropped off the surface and the stripes will follow them. Cats are biting on cut baits like Anchovies, Mackerel, and Sardines. Thank you and good luck!- Dan

Anglers of the week
Jack Forzano of Livermore caught a 12.5 lb Stripe on livers from a point
Frank Lomeli of Sacramento caught a 15.8 lb Cat on Mackerel in the Narrows Jose Zepeda of Tracy caught a 15.7 lb Stripe on Anchovies in the Narrows.
