The Little Truckee is still worth a shot but the fishing is very difficult. The fish are eating very small midge pupa and emergers most of them a size twenty or smaller. You will have to use very light 7X tippets and exercise extreme caution when approaching the stream. You'll want to be on the water in the midday hours when the fish are most active. Best Flies for the Little Truckee Zebra Midges 18-22, Brassies 18-22, Two Tone Hunchbacks 18-20, Parachute Adams 18-22, WD 40 20-22

River Flows @Boca 317 cfs ??@ Farad 335 cfs @Reno 304 cfs The Truckee is still worth fishing but cooling water has slowed down the fishing a bit. You will need to fish slow and deep to have a shot at catching some fish. We've been having our best success fishing at the heads of deeper pools and dead drifting nymphs and streamers.
