Continued good weather forecast for the weekend and beyond expect temps in the upper 80's to low 90's. Pardee Lake water level is presently at 86% capacity (within 10 to 12 foot of spill) with ALL launch ramp facilities and Park services available.

The Marina reports the bite in and around the Recreation Area has been slow with few bank anglers present to watch or get information from. Woodpile may be the best bet once again, cooler temps and deeper water are the primary advantages in this area. Power Bait, chartreuse with sparkles, eggs with garlic, orange and pink mouse tails along with night crawlers on a sliding sinker or a half full water bubble all continue to be effective combos thus far for Trout.

Trolling still good in the upriver locations. There are lots of Kokanee congregating near Deer Island, Columbia and the Twin Coves locations. You will notice the Kokanee's jaws have just started to hook slightly. Fish remain in deeper water and are now at the 50 to 100 feet levels where it's cooler. Trout are still being caught trolling while others are tying off in upstream coves and bait fishing with good success. Trollers are using Hoochies, (green and pink) along with the standard beaded spinners, Uncle Larry's pinkies and white/pink hoochies, all behind medium size silver and gold dodgers. Those Trout caught bait fishing from boats lately have been partial to night crawlers and power bait/eggs.

The Catfish bite has also been good since last report. Try the warmer cove areas from Mel's all the way down to Rattlesnake and upstream as well. Power bait, night crawlers, stinky chicken livers and Spam are all popular with our whiskered friends.

Bass fishing has also been good around coves and rocky points all along the eastern side of the Lake. Sounds like plastic worms, especially red ones are working well.

Lake Level is currently at 86% (down approx. 2 feet from the last report) of capacity and holding. Water temperature is currently 72 degrees at 20 feet and 78 at the surface; clarity is good to 17 feet plus.

Lake Pardee Recreation has planted a total of 24,000 pounds of fish for the season so far.
