Striper action continues to be very good, despite the full moon. We're averaging 10 fish per day, most in the 5 1/2 lb range but the fish of the week weighed in at 7.11 lb with a length of 29 inches caught by Warren Cooper of Elk grove. The line sides are falling for shad anchovies. We're working the deeper waters of the main lake down about 20 feet. Boils are beginning to occur as the smaller bass push the shad near the surface. However, most boil activity is lasting a short period of time. Water surface temperature is 82 degrees.

Picture 1- Warren Cooper of Elk Grove had fun battling stripers all morning long on Ultra Lite tackle before settling on this great stringer of fish.

Picture 2 - Dan and Melanie Lewis of Glory Hole Sport of Angels Camp took time out from a busy work schedule for a day on the water. The pair had a blast reeling in their Saturday night fish fry.
