This month the weather has kept us guessing. However, our fish have not. The bite has been constant and steady when we talk trout and striper. With the constant change in weather we are noticing the trout go a little deeper than normal. Try 15-25 ft opposed to the usual 10-15 ft. Powerbait grubs are the way to go, mini crawlers would also be sufficient (try the narrows and the small "No Name Cove" to the left of the dam). Trolling with anchovies and spoons seem to be the ticket to success for good size stripers. Heron bay and across from the marina you will feel the bites. Del Valle is the place to wet your line, you will surely catch some fish to dine.

Rate the action over the past week:
Bass: Good
Bluegill: Poor
Carp: Poor
Catfish: Excellent Avg. Size: 3 lbs
Crappie: Fair
Striper: Excellent Avg. Size: 20-23"
Trout: Excellent Avg. Size: 2-3 lbs
