The weather is getting hot. The fish are getting deeper. Time to get on a boat. However, you can still get on a bite from the shore. Trolling with Rapalas and Rooster Tails seems to work best lately and you can never fail with power bait down at the dam. You can snag a striper with anchovies and chicken liver pretty much anywhere around the lake. While catfish are pretty constant biting anything you throw at them. We miss all of the small mouth, big mouth, and sturgeon angler stories here at Del Valle. The fish are here. Please come and get them.

Rate the action over the past week:

Anglers have enjoyed catching some nice catfish on chicken livers. We have seen some large mouth Bass and they seem to be hanging out...... Read More
