Fishing at Castaic is fair right now. Guys are still catching good size stripers in the morning with spoons and ice jigs in 40 to 60 ft, swimbaits are working good for bigger stripers. The largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing has been picking up. Most bass are being caught on spoons, ice jigs and small plastics in 20 to 40ft.The catfish bite has been slow.

The striper fishing at Castaic is fair right now.Striper boils have been spotty in the mornings. Most the boils are in the fish arm.The largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing has been fair. Most largemouth have been caught on plastics in 15 to 30ft.We will be recieving a trout plant this week.Stripers bhave been eating swimbaits pretty good so far this year. ...... Read More

Most the boils are in the fish arm.The largemouth and smallmouth bass have been boiling in the mornings.Most largemouth have been caught on plastics in 15 to 30ft.Smallmouths are biting reaction baits and plastics in 10 to 30ft.The catfish bite has been slow.We received a trout plant last week.The trout were bigger than usual so they lasted a lot longer.A few nice swimbait stripers......
