The bass bite was good last week, as most anglers were able to score limits, or near limits on top waters, jigs, glide baits, and small swimbaits just about all over the lake. The panfish bite slowed from the previous week, and only a few crappie, and red ear were reported. Catfish bit well for people targeting them on cut mackerel, and chicken livers. Michael Chapa of Atascadero landed a huge 6lb. bullhead which took an unknown lure in the White Oak area.

It was another good week of bass fishing here, once again most fish have been in the 2 to 4lb. range, with the occasional 5 to 7lber in the mix.
