It was another good week of bass fishing here, once again most fish have been in the 2 to 4lb. range, with the occasional 5 to 7lber in the mix. Largemouth were taking top waters, jigs, senkos, drop shot, and spinnerbaits all over the lake. Some big catfish were checked in at the marina, led by Bob Holder of Santa Margarita. Holder subdued a 17lb. blue on a fly-lined 'crawler, as well as several smaller cats. Rocky areas have been best for the blues, while shallow coves have been producing the channels, and bulkheads. Red ear have been taking redworms, and mealworms fished 8 to 10' on main lake points. Crappie action has slowed to a crawl at the moment, with just a handful taken in the White Oak area.
